Stupid thought: would we be able to pull up enough volunteers to man/woman a support desk, similar to what ops does? At least for the London meeting.
Not so stupid - actually brilliant! I volunteer to join this effort, specially because I would like to help people to make it work and also learn at the same time what their issues are as a very good input to our "IPv6 troubleshooting for helpdesks" document!
Simple task: spend a few hours (based on a pre-published schedule) at a designated spot so people can find you. Help them with troubleshooting, connecting and importantly document the issues.
Documenting the issues is really important.
As such maybe we can create some sort of handover document, provide better statistical knowledge on workload and have some basic FAQ material which we can publish, also for others to use.
maybe we could start a BCOP/IPv6-WG document "Running and troubleshooting IPv6-only wifi networks for events" That would be awesome... Cheers, Jan
