Jeff,
Updates to the "An IPv6 Aggregatable Global Unicast Address Format" and "IP Version 6 Addressing Architecture" are now out. They are:
Title : An IPv6 Aggregatable Global Unicast Address Format Author(s) : B. Hinden, M. O'Dell, S. Deering Filename : draft-ietf-ipngwg-unicast-aggr-03.txt Pages : 11 Date : 27-Jan-98
Title : IP Version 6 Addressing Architecture Author(s) : B. Hinden, S. Deering Filename : draft-ietf-ipngwg-addr-arch-v2-06.txt Pages : 25 Date : 28-Jan-98
The changes to "An IPv6 Aggregatable Global Unicast Address Format" are in response to the comments received during the IETF last call. Specifically, it adds an 8-bit reserved field between the TLA and NLA fields to allow for future growth in the number of TLA's and a new technical motivation section that explains the design choices.
The change to "IP Version 6 Addressing Architecture" is to update the section on the aggregatable address format to show the new reserved field.
I belive that both of these documents can now go forward to proposed standard.
Bob
