6to4 addresses off a multihomed IPv4 address. The 6to4 address is portable, the v4 connectivity today is typically better than native v6 is, and if you are building a v6 only mission-critical system, you are building a skyscraper on sand. You don't like tunnels? I have news for you: *today*, v6 is _mostly_ tunnels. Michel.
