Call for RIPE IoT Working Group Chair
Dear colleagues, as announced, we asked for volunteers to co-chair the RIPE IoT working group. Until now, I got contacted by 2 volunteers who like to being elected for co-chair: * David Schweizer * Peter Steinhäuser If anybody else like to volunteer as well, we keep the chance for application open until Thu 16th May (4 days before the RIPE starts). Please feel free to send a mail directly to this mailing list - with your name and some words as to why you think you ought to be a co-chair, what new ideas, or improvements you might bring, and so on. Please feel free to give your support to the candidates within the mailing list. The election itself will take place live during the IoT workgroup session using Mastrodon giving equal chance to people being in the room as well as live online participants. Thank you Peter, please count me in for the co-chair candidates list. For the past 10 years I've been involved in IoT community orchestration and currently managing IoT Association. I used to be involved in RIPE activities since the second meeting and can bring a few ideas to the group. In particular: - pipe in actual IoT challenges related to internet infrastructure to the group; - hands on expertise and group review of identification methods for IoT at large; - analysis of real IoT cases, including security calls - AI and IoT related stuff Short bio included below --andrei -- 30+ years in telecom/IT, including First in Russia online service (Russia-On-Line) from idea to operations 1994 Few top technical/engineering management positions in telecom, 1994-2008 Coordination center for .RU, 2009-2005, director.
