Hi Peter, I didn't mean to be so focused on privacy. I think you would agree that there are a plethora of security problems with Things. Pick your favorite: toilet, refrigerator, baby monitor, light bulb, or other. The attacks are varied and can be indirect (use the device to attack others) or indirect (exfiltrate private information, cause the device to cause harm to the owner, etc). It's clear that manufacturers have a role to play in securing their devices. The network also has a role to play. And surely governments will establish their own roles (and have done in some cases).
