is interesting reading, indeed? Maybe someone from BT on this list could possibly comment? Regards, Carsten Schiefner

Hi! Sorry, maybe I missed something, but what is interesting here? This is an advertisement for a BT service offering. It does indeed start with an interesting statement (nobody managed to build a sustainable business model around VoIP yet) but I am missing new new idea here. An article saying "BT offers all their mobile and landline subscribers ENUM lookup on outgoing calls" would make a difference, though, but I think this is the news we can wait on forever. YMMV - but I do think it is interesting news when an incumbent sort of officially announces the use of ENUM as a bridging protocol/technology between TDM and IP. I have not yet seen that being announced by any other incumbent, at least not in Germany.

That indeed would make my day! :-) Ths statement wrt. ENUM was IMHO not really detailed, though. That is why I asked for clarification if possible.

Hi Richard, hi all! The press release doesn't talk about ENUM at all; neither the linked information page. Does anyone have any information about this offer like: - Who is it targeted at / What's the entry barrier. Let's assume I operate an small NG telco, can I use it and for what? - Does it provide QoS as I understand the traffic stay on Sprint's network which they control? - Having said that, how would the physical trunk look like? A leased line? Regards, Torsten Richard Shockey schrieb:

Hi Richard, hi all!
The press release doesn't talk about ENUM at all; neither the linked
information page.
It really doesn't have to mention ENUM they are using a Route proxy for Redirect which IMHO is not the most optimal choice from a performance perspective but what is not shown here is the database.
Does anyone have any information about this offer like:
