2001, China Network Information Center (CNNIC) started up ENUM research.

 

2002, MII authorized doing ENUM application experiment and organized ENUM trial consortium, set up leader team and research group of the trial; Science and technology department, MII held the proseminar and decided to apply 6.8.e164.arpa for evolution trial of ENUM top level domain (TLD) ; 

CNNIC started up and ran 6.8.e164.arpa slave server; CNNIC began to run ONE of SIX ENUM root server (e164.arpa domain server).

 

2003, CNNIC published ENUM trial system, provided registration and tested resolution performance.

 

2004, CNNIC originated and joined the APEET (Asia-pacific ENUM Engineering Team).

 

2005, CNNIC studied ENUM commercial architecture and did experiment on ENUM new services.

 

2006, CNNIC updated ENUM trial system; studied authorization and authentication of ENUM application.
