Hello everyone,
During RIPE 60[1] in Prague, I would like to organise a PGP key signing party[2]
to take place after the working group sessions on Thursday and before the RIPE
Dinner. We will meet at the elevators on the first floor on Thursday, 6 May 2010
at 18:00.
The process for the signing will be:
1. Add your public key to the keyring[3]. In order for me to be able to print
the list, the deadline for this is Thursday, 6 May 2010 at 12:00.
2. You will be provided with a printout of the keyring. It is important that you
verify your own fingerprint on it with a trusted copy of your key fingerprint.
3. After we are all gathered, we will take it in turns to read our own key
fingerprint so everyone else can verify it on the printout provided. It is best
to check off the fingerprints you have verified on the list.
4. Next we will verify the identity of the key owner by using a legal document
(passport, driver's license, etc.). For each identity you have verified you can
add another checkmark on the printout.
5. Now the official part of the party is finished and once you get back home you
can download the keyring[3] and sign each key that you validated. It is easy to
identify those by having two checkmarks on the printout. You should then provide
the owner of that key with your signed version and possibly upload it to a
key-server.
If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact me. You may
also spread the word through other information channels.

Dear ENUM WG colleagues,
we are just a little less than four weeks away from RIPE 60 (3-7 May in
Prague, http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-60/ ) - and time flies
even more now.
Niall O'Reilly and I are still looking for input from you all for the
agenda of the ENUM WG for this meeting: offers to give presentations,
suggestions for presentations from others, and warnings of topics to
avoid for lack of interest.
To begin with, here is a list of 'regular' topics we usually cover
during an ENUM WG session:
- Updates from countries with 'significant' developments
- ENUM in production: operations, uptake, strategy
If you have been hesitant so far, it would now be time to suggest your
addition to our agenda!
Thank you and best regards - and we look forward to seeing many of you
in Prague in early May:
Carsten Schiefner
Co-Chair, RIPE ENUM Working Group
