This is a spaceholder if the IPv6 group have any issues they want raised. Session Two - this may be in Session One if there is time. 6 Mike Hughes from Linx - IXP Switching Wishlist Abstract: Layer 2 based IXPs have a number of requirements for security, traffic management and scaleability. Some ISPs have chosen to implement ATM to either solve or workaround these needs. This presentation contains the beginnings for a wishlist of features that would be usefully implemented in Ethernet switching platforms for pure layer 2 ethernet IXPs, and serves to encourage discussion on the topic among exchange points and switch vendors. Followed by a discussion. (expected time 30 minutes) Keith Mitchell has agreed to chair the meeting as I am unable to attend due to my new job, that has me on the other side of the Atlantic for the next two weeks. Have a good meeting and see you at RIPE 36! Thanks Fearghas
