Hi,
I've very much enjoyed being your working group co-chair for around five years now. That's quite a long time for you to have waited for a chance to think about the group chairship, so it feels like the right sort of time to step aside and ask the working group to select a new person to co-chair the group.
Being the wg-chair is a lot of work since as well as putting together three hours of entertainment twice a year, there is an administrative role to play in the policy development process (test and confirm that the PDP has been followed for every new policy proposal), and a functional role to play in improving and building RIPE & the RIPE Meetings. Don't underestimate the amount of time needed to do this properly. That said, if you enjoy the RIPE meetings, and want to help improve collaboration in the RIPE community, this is a great way to contribute.
** Thanks to everyone that has spoken at or come along to the EIX meetings in the past few years. **
It's been a pleasure collaborating with you all at RIPE.
Best wishes,
Andy Davidson
