Dear colleagues, The RIPE 78 meeting in Reykjavik is a few weeks away and we’d like to form our agenda. Please submit your presentation ideas, or suggestions for discussions to <dns-wg-chairs@ripe.net>. Please don’t submit anything using the meeting submission web form, it’s not intended for submission of content to working groups. Thanks! dave, on behalf of the working group chairs
Hello, please see proposed lightning talk proposal. DNS flag day 2019 and beyond ---------------------------- During February 2019 DNS recursive resolvers' vendors stopped working around some violations of EDNS standards. The first global DNS cleanup lead to much fear and last-minute upgrades, but no significant outages, and in the end overall improvement of DNS ecosystem. Yet there still is a mess which slows down DNS resolution and makes it unreliable for everyone. We will present plans for the next DNS Flag Day together with fresh news from DNS-OARC 30 (held two weeks prior RIPE 78). --- Time slot: 15 minutes or more Background: Currently DNS vendors plan to have planning meeting with at DNS OARC 30 and move from there. Specific plans regaring DNS flag day will not be known before end of this DNS OARC meeting so I cannot go into details in the abstract above. Thank you for understanding and considering this talk.
