Most true, and since I am mirroring this file and have a notifier running the appearance of this new file was sent to me. I, however, never saw a announcement of this. I do not expect that the whole world needs to mirror this file... __ Erik-Jan.

Would it be useful if the NCC mirrored this file in dns/tools ? It might be useful. But that's not the point: if a formal announcement of the withdrawal of a root nameserver can be sent widely, then I would expect a formal announcement of an addition/replacement to be sent equally widely. Piet

Understand your concern. Although it was inplied in the message that ISI would be replacing KAVA. A message will be sent from the domreg registrar shortly on the change to namedroppers. Mark
