One action item from the DNS WG meeting at RIPE32 was drafting a "very short" document recommending certain DNS SOA values for small and stable zones. A first version is now available as an Internet-Draft from the usual places, including <ftp://ftp.ripe.net:/internet-drafts/>. The filename is "draft-koch-dns-soa-values-00.txt". The timer values are identical to those presented in Amsterdam. The document is not primarily intended for end user consumption, but as a guideline and reference for ISPs and others, so the explanation/justification section is rather rough now. -Peter
