"DNS round-trip-time" on this context is considered to be the time it takes to answer a DNS query. We use "dig" to get this value

about 2MB (measured at the secondary server text file)

20 queries/sec

update/transfer strategy-----------------------------

AXFR with notifies (no need to actually respond to notify. SOA timers suffice)
