DANE was already mainstream due to Gmail and to german providers, but adding MS is indeed substantial. They don't even have DNSSEC (a prerequisite for DANE) on gmail.com or google.com.
They don't, sorry. I wrongfully interpreted our stats (100% of encrypted traffic in and out gmail.com) and Google's Transparency Report (https://transparencyreport.google.com/safer-email/overview?hl=en <https://transparencyreport.google.com/safer-email/overview?hl=en>). They seem to use opportunistic encryption, not DANE. That said, since their encryption levels are beyond 90% inbound and outbound, if/when they turn on DANE, it will be very interesting. Rubens
