Can you give me one good reason why we SHOULD register private individuals? Just one good reason. There is no good reason whatsoever. After all a domain name is a purely technical thing, meant to be able to cover a large number of people/hosts/sites. The term "domain" by itself says enough already. Invididuals being able to register a *domain* name violates this technical principle. Individuals who are denied a domain name often come up with arguments as "denial of right of access to the Internet", "right on a domain name", etc. That's all bullshit. First of all there's no such thing as a "right" on a domain name. Domain names should be assigned or granted only when the technical purpose is met, although I admit that in some cases that can be difficult. And any individuals can get access to the Internet by hooking up to a service provider. The only disadvantage is that their e-mail address and perhaps other "properties" change when they go to another service provider. But that's no good reason for violating the technical nature of domain names and assigning domain names to individuals. Piet
