"every calendar year" is even simpler and fewer words than that Nick. :-) I doubt it will matter or if anyone really cares when the selection process kicks in at some point during the year. Maybe it's Q1 one year and Q4 the next. So what? Or maybe the selection thing needs to be started earlier than normal because a co-chair resigns before their term's anniversary. I think that provided a selection event takes place at least once during a calendar year, it shouldn't matter when in that year that process is invoked. It's kind of like an AGM which usually can take place +/- 3 months from the previous one.
