Task-force practicalities: meeting, charter, collaborative documentation, actions
Hi list, it's good to see some activity on the list, after the article is published! I am hoping to see many of you join the task-force too! I'd like to get practical, and get on with the "tasks" of the task-force :) To that goal, I suggest that we have a first online meeting ASAP: date & time: 26.6.2017 (Tuesday), 10:30 AM CEST URL - to be sent later (online-video-meeting tool Webex, most likely) Provisional agenda: - introduction of new members/volunteers - discussing the drat charter - actions & milestones - next meeting To work on the agenda in more detail, to word-smith the charter, and to keep track of the actions, here is a new Etherpad document: http://etherpad.tools.ietf.org:9000/p/ripe-diversity-tf-2017 If there are any changes needed, to the date or agenda, please use this list to discuss them. Any volunteer to draft the first version of the charter? Ciao, Vesna
I sadly can't make 10:30 (UTC-7 is a bit rough!) I added a few things On Fri, Jun 9, 2017 at 4:26 AM, Vesna Manojlovic <BECHA@ripe.net> wrote:

Vesna, Could I check please on the date of the meeting. Is that the 26th (Monday) or the 27th (Tuesday)? I'm assuming the 26th given that's what's in the agenda, but wanted to disambiguate. I can make a full hour on the Monday but only 30 minutes on the Tuesday. Obviously this is not all about me! :) The agenda looks good at the moment. Thanks for pushing this along! Sorry for the mistake - it's _Tuesday_, 27th!!

I've changed that now...

Now we have a first draft of the charter, please comment. My own comment: I think we should insert either a word "gender" in the definition, or add a bulletpoint saying - initial focus of the increasing diversity is _gender_ diversity, because .. ... (from the RIPE Labs article) "Changing the conditions to improve one aspect of diversity (gender) helps improve other aspects of diversity, too, because reasons for inequality within communities are similar for racial, age, class or gender representations. This is called “intersectionality”. " http://geekfeminism.wikia.com/wiki/Intersectionality Thanks, Vesna
