Updates to the charter
Hi everyone, I've made some changes to the charter wording as discussed and agreed yesterday during our meeting: https://www.ripe.net/participate/ripe/tf/ripe-diversity-task-force/ Can I also suggest that, in the light of inclusion, we shift our meeting minutes from Etherpad to the RIPE website as well (as child pages underneath the main TF page?). I think for transparency and ease of use, it makes more sense to have our minutes and actions on the website. I don't mind tidying them up and making the pages. What do you think? Amanda
Amanda, Thank you for this. I'm certainly happy for the minutes etc. to be on the RIPE website, albeit something like Etherpad is useful for live minutes etc. during TF meetings. One thing I've just noticed. The amended charter says: Attendees should be welcomed and included in the RIPE Meetings regardless of... I think we need something different here, especially in light of remarks from the community about the mailing lists etc. So, while keeping the same sense could we say something like: Anyone who wishes to be involved in the RIPE Community in whatever way should be welcomed and included, regardless of... Done! What about adding 'technical ability' to that list...was something that came up during the BoF. On 24/10/2017 10:33, Brian Nisbet wrote:

Hmm, I'd prefer 'technical experience' there, which might cause less of an issue with those who feel you should be able to recite RFCs to get in the door. But I'm easy either way here. Yes, I think 'technical experience' fits better. Mirjam On 24/10/2017 08:41, Brian Nisbet wrote:

Do you mean, draft minutes still on Etherpad, so we can all edit them, then on the RIPE website once finalised? Or that you'd just write the minutes and put them directly on the web site? -- Malcolm Hutty | tel: +44 20 7645 3523 Head of Public Affairs | Read the LINX Public Affairs blog London Internet Exchange | http://publicaffairs.linx.net/ London Internet Exchange Ltd Monument Place, 24 Monument Street London EC3R 8AJ Company Registered in England No. 3137929 Trinity Court, Trinity Street, Peterborough PE1 1DA

This is fine with the changes mentioned in other comments in this email thread.

Agreed... especially in terms of being open and transparent. Regards Denesh
