Please do not discount the impact of pricing on diversity. Travel costs are managed in most kinds of organizations. And people working in smaller organisations are likely to have less flexibility over discretionary spending. Higher costs reduce the pool of people who can attend and/or the frequency with which they can attend. The cost of attending is a particular problem for people earlier in their careers.
