All, Two weeks have passed and I fear how rapidly RIPE 80 is approaching. I have repeatedly stated that I don't believe I should Chair this TF, for a whole bunch of reasons including who I am and my amount of free time, but it seems our more vague plan of not really having a Chair isn't working either. Is anyone else willing to step up? I do think a call would progress this more quickly than slow and long emails. If we could get HPH, someone (or more than one) from RIPE NCC Legal and members of the TF onto the call, we might be able to progress. I can pull a Doodle together for this, but HPH, as I suspect the most time constrained amongst us, do you have any free/busy info you could share? I’m honestly not sure if we have a Chair at present. There are reasons for this, in that we very purposefully attempted to make the Diversity TF as accessible as possible, but that very strength can cause issues with situations like this. I also wonder if we need to have a good discussion about the nature and timescales of the TF, given that the enaction of an improved CoC will not magically solve the communities diversity issues! I’ve read the report, albeit I think I need to read it again, and while some of the issues raised will be easier to resolve than others, I’m obviously interested in working to find those solutions. And certainly I would be very interested to hear your thoughts, Hans Petter. Maybe the next step is to have a call with interested members of the TF and yourself to talk about the IA and to discuss how we can best align all of our various needs and wants? It would be great if the chair(s) of the task force could make an action plan to address the issues raised in the impact assessment and previously on the list. I have some ideas I am happy to share with you on this.
