To use "whois -v", you will need a new whois client. The new version of the whois client is available at
<ftp://ftp.ripe.net/tools/ripe-whois-tools-2.1.tar.gz>
And it still goes "boom" when you try to use "whois -v" or "whois -t": kappa-~ & whois -v netnum zsh: 5855 segmentation fault (core dumped) whois -v netnum I have a patch for it (incidentally identical to the one I sent in last September ;-), which I'll attach below.
