Ed proposed a change to the WHOIS release process at the DB-WG session @ RIPE78. This change would be to immediately deploy bug fixes without a release candidate. I would just like to voice my opinion on it, so my thought is that maybe give the db-wg 24h to voice opinions or something like that. Just a thought but anyways.
The last time this was discussed was October 2013:

The release process was also discussed at RIPE67: https://ripe67.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/db-wg/ Immediately deploying bug fixes as minor releases was proposed, but this idea was dropped some time later. Currently we announce all releases, and deploy to Release Candidate first for two weeks. Regards Ed
