An alternative approach might be to make an authentication check (user has to have access to a maintainer of the ASN), however given the small amount of maintainers actually being named this way this would likely not be justifiable.

It would annoy me a bit, because all our stuff is under SPACENET-N and
SPACENET-P ("networks and person objects"). And all tools.
Of course it is doable, but... why? Convince me :-)
