Dear Elvis, The RIPE database is not an authoritative source of information for domains. The RIPE NCC does not register domain names. The information on domain names in the RIPE Network Management Database has no effect on operations; it is there as a convenient reference. It is not a domain name registry that is maintained by the country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) administrators. There is no general obligation of any kind to put a newly registered domain name in the RIPE database, so there is no guarantee that all of the registered and operational domains will be present there. In fact, RIPE NCC encourages the ccTLDs in its region to set up their own whois databases. You can find the contact of the country code TLDs on the web-page of IANA (The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority), see http://www.iana.org. Hi,
why is the albanian domain inima.al accessible through internet, but not listed in the ripe database? there are some european TLDs, where I couldn't find accessible websites in the ripe database. is there a reason for this or an error?
regards and thanks for your help, elvis samson
