I think some of this is a 2nd order effect of bgp.tools having AS-SET alerting, and people using the knowledge that adding people to AS-SETs generates alerts for some people now. I'm probably going to remove the AS-SET monitoring feature for non paying customers, since the feature was only made for one particular customer anyway, and it likely does not matter for personal networks as much.
