X-NCC-RegID: dk.danisco Hi Im trying to delete an inetnum from the database. (It is a part of 193.149.128.0 255.255.192.0 within Danisco) These 127 addresses is now a part of a greater net, so I would like to delete this inetnum. I have inserted "delete" in front, but so far no luck. Can you tell me what is wrong ? Dear Niels, What you need to do to delete an object is to add a single "delete:" line: inetnum: 193.149.142.0 - 193.149.142.127 netname: DANISCO descr: Danisco enterprise router network descr: Danisco Sugar [...] status: ASSIGNED PI mnt-by: RIPE-NCC-NONE-MNT changed: dsleo@danisco.dk 19990505 source: RIPE delete: ReasonForDeletion You have to quote the whole object, without any change. More information on creating, updating and deleting objects in the RIPE Network Management Database is available from: http://www.ripe.net/ripencc/faq/database/qa4.html A tutorial is in the RIPE Database User Manual: Getting Started guide, available from: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/db-start.html The full RIPE Database Reference Manual is available here: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/databaseref-manual.html Please contact <ripe-dbm@ripe.net> for any other questions.
