RE: NCC#2008032613 BUG: Duplicate entries in RIPE NCC statistics exchange files

Hi! Again, I've found duplicate entries in databases. Here they are: delegated-afrinic-latest: afrinic|KE|ipv4|194.9.82.0|512|20080312|assigned afrinic|GH|ipv4|193.194.128.0|256|20070920|assigned afrinic|EG|ipv4|193.227.128.0|256|20070920|assigned afrinic|KE|ipv4|194.9.64.0|512|20070920|assigned afrinic|KE|ipv4|194.9.82.0|512|20080312|assigned afrinic|EG|ipv4|195.234.185.0|256|20070920|assigned afrinic|EG|ipv4|195.234.252.0|1024|20070921|assigned delegated-ripencc-latest: ripencc|KE|ipv4|194.9.82.0|512|20030924|assigned ripencc|EU|ipv4|193.194.128.0|256|19941223|assigned ripencc|EU|ipv4|193.227.128.0|256|19940725|assigned ripencc|KE|ipv4|194.9.64.0|512|20030911|assigned ripencc|KE|ipv4|194.9.82.0|512|20030924|assigned ripencc|EG|ipv4|195.234.185.0|256|20021118|assigned ripencc|EG|ipv4|195.234.252.0|1024|20021118|assigned Thanks, Andrey -----Original Message----- From: RIPE NCC Hostmaster [mailto:hostmaster@ripe.net] Sent: Monday, March 31, 2008 6:50 PM To: Tyurin, Andrey Cc: webmaster@ripe.net Subject: Re: NCC#2008032613 BUG: Duplicate entries in RIPE NCC statistics exchange files Hi Andrey, Thank you for your notification. We updated our internal records accordingly. Some of the data is related to ERX project (old legacy space distributed by Internic previosu RIRs system ) These will remain inconsistent.

Hi Andrey,
Thank you for your notification. We updated our internal records. The inconsistencies should have been created after the transfer of the PI assignments from RIPENCC to AfriNIC.
If you can point us to some other inconsistencies, we would be very keen on cleaning them ;).
Thank you for your cooperation.
Kind regards,

There are some duplicate entries in RIPE NCC files (dated 2008-03-19). For example, the following row is in file 'delegated-ripencc-latest':
ripencc|GB|ipv4|196.201.16.0|2048|20040108|assigned
And the same ip address and mask is assignes to ZW (file 'delegated-afrinic-latest'):
afrinic|ZW|ipv4|196.201.16.0|2048|20070717|assigned
I've counted about 30 such records. What is that mean? How can the same ip address be assigned to different countries (and even continents)?
Thanks, Andrey
