Dear Dmitry Dmitrienko, It is not necessary to request an autonomous system (AS) number for a PI assignment. An AS number is only required if the network is going to be multi-homed with its own unique routing policy. If you do require a AS number for this network because it will be multi-homed with its own unique routing policy then you should correctly and completely fill out the form found here: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/asnrequestform.html For more information on AS number policy see this document: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/asn-assignment.html Best Regards, -- Timothy Lowe RIPE NCC Staff X-Organization: RIPE Network Coordination Centre X-Phone: +31 20 535 4444 X-Fax: +31 20 535 4445

Dear Dmitry Dmitrienko, Your question involves some basic policy issues that are out of the scope of this mailing list. I will create a ticket for this issue and reply to you off list.
