Hi We have a range of provider independant IP addresses and we are going to change ISP shortly. We have been told that we need to notify RIPE of the change of AS Number and the RIPE name of the new ISP, is this correct? How long does this take and who do I need to contact to make this change? Thanks and regards Dave Nunn Disclaimer: This e-mail contains proprietary information some or all of which may be legally privileged. It is for the intended recipient only. Dear David, The RIPE NCC needs to be contacted when the holder of PI space/AS Number is changing. This means that if we assigned the PI space/AS Number to your organisation and you will continue to use the resources; you are only changing ISPs, there is no need to contact the RIPE NCC hostmasters. You can find more information at the following URLs: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ipv4-policies.html#pa_pi http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/asn-assignment.html Best regards, Ingrid Wijte ___________________________ RIPE Database Administration.
