Hi The "members:" of an "as-set" describes a single AS number or another as-set, which again can include other as-sets as members and so on. How can I figure out all AS numbers behind an as-set, wich contains as-sets as members? Is there any clever command in the RIPE NCC Whois DB available or exists a tool to get out this info from the DB? Many thanks and best regards Hanspeter Hanspeter Seiler Service Development Engineer __________________________________________________ SOLPA AG Monbijoustrasse 6 3011 Bern Phone +41 (0)31 544 44 00 Direct +41 (0)31 544 44 16 Fax +41 (0)31 544 44 09 mailto:hanspeter.seiler@solpa.ch www.solpa.ch SOLPA - Your partner for electronic communications __________________________________________________ The information in this e-mail and in any attachments is confidential and intended solely for the attention and use of the named addressee(s). Dear Seiler, IRRToolSet might be the tool you are looking for: http://www.ripe.net/ripencc/pub-services/db/irrtoolset/index.html The specific program in the toolset to expand as-sets into ASNs would be "peval": $ peval -no-as AS-DFNFROMESNET ((AS3431 AS68 AS3128 AS3380 AS16 AS2640 AS14702 AS6406 AS43 AS4729 AS10702 AS3152 AS291 AS292 AS293 AS45 AS11926 AS3671 AS683 AS50 AS3428 AS377 )) $ I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact <ripe-dbm@ripe.net>. Regards, Engin Gunduz ____________________________ RIPE Database Administration.
