Re: Inserting objects in the ripe test

Hi Colin, That worked. Thanks a lot for the help. I created an inet range 10.11.12.0 - 10.11.12.255 in test db. Now when i go to creating a domain object in test db, I specify the domain as :12.11.10.in-addr-arpa but i get an error message which says that "there is no parent object" even after owning the inet range. Are there some domain values that can be used in test db for testing purposes? Thanks. On Fri, Apr 6, 2012 at 1:47 PM, Colin Davis <colin@serverunit.co.uk> wrote:
Hi,
The error message suggests TEST-DBM-MNT password has not been stored in session.
The password is "emptypassword" without the quotes. Try adding that then having another go.

I am trying to create an inetnum type of object in the ripe test database but i am unable to get past the eternal authorization error. The Maintainer in the test db that i am using is IS-MNT and i am requesting the ip range 193.0.0.0 - 193.0.0.255 (I am not sure if this should be a valid range for test db purposes but i assume that i should be able to get an inetnum in test db at any range). I have tried with maintainer IS11260-MNT(organization's maintainer) as well to no relief. I am sure that i have entered the correct session password on the passwords list. Think you've got a typo - it's: 12.11.10.in-addr.arpa not 12.11.10.in-addr-arpa Regards, Colin. On 06/04/12 03:24, Ishwinder Singh wrote:

nserver is a mandatory attribute, and in live the DNS server would need to host an SOA for the *.in-addr.arpa zone, but in test it probably doesn't check?
