Dear Sir or Madam, Nour.net is One of the ISPs in Saudia Arabia. One of our customers facing problem with reverse lookup for its subnet (which is 212.12.165.128/28). To solve that, I create a reveres pointer in our name server, beside that, i create 165.12.212.in-addr.arpa object that related to that customer in RIPE site, but still the problem present. I tried to do reverse lookup from www.dnsstuff.com, it gives no PTR for that subnet. So please guide us to solve this problem. Thank You. Firas A. Hammad Network Eng. No Domain Object

I have just realised that I have never created a domain object for our LIR in the database. Everything else is pretty up to date and working fine. Reverse DNS is referenced on our inetnum object. Is the domain object essential? If so, can someone send me an example of a domain object please? In addition, if I create a domain object, do I have to shift reverse DNS to that instead of inetnum? If you are the contact for an LIR they can also advise you on how to set up an account on the LIR-portal so that you will be able to make such changes yourself in the future. Hello, I am SSI7-RIPE, AS-8797 mnt-by, wish to change inetnum: 212.28.64.0 - 212.28.95.255 fields. Problem is that previous admins admin-c: RAR4-RIPE tech-c: OVM5-RIPE are retired and I have no contacts with them. This inetnum mnt-by RIPE NCC. Dear Vitaliy, Changing the authorisation of a maintainer object means changing sensitive user data. In cases when our manual intervention is necessary we require written hardcopy confirmation from the maintainer's admin-c which serves as a form of authentication and authorisation for the change. X-NCC-RegID: dk.danisco Hi Im trying to delete an inetnum from the database. (It is a part of 193.149.128.0 255.255.192.0 within Danisco) These 127 addresses is now a part of a greater net, so I would like to delete this inetnum. I have inserted "delete" in front, but so far no luck. Can you tell me what is wrong ? Dear Dmitry Dmitrienko, It is not necessary to request an autonomous system (AS) number for a PI assignment. An AS number is only required if the network is going to be multi-homed with its own unique routing policy.
