Whois does not show “domain” object for reverse zone

Hello, Document says you need to create "domain" object and RIPE would create reverse DNS zone. If so -- why there is no any domain object in RIPE whois even for networks with reverse zones? 77.88.21.11 is yandex.ru (according to DNS reverse zone) for example, but I can't find "yandex.ru" domain object via this tool: https://apps.db.ripe.net/search/query.html?searchtext=yandex.ru Sorry for silly question, I am new to ripe. thank you.

I have changed „remarks” line 5 minute ago and there is no any message in our notify(a)telia.lv<mailto:notify@telia.lv> box .... Hi, I have developped a whois script that works fine since few years. I'im trying to implement IPv6 support, but I have a problem. When I query an IPv6 address, I obtain the message : ERROR:106: no search key specified. Why ?

Hi, I've read the install procedures for the ripe whois database, and see that you mention you develop on Debian Linux. Can the pre-requisites be installed with packages, and do you have a list of packages I can paste into "dpkg --set-selections" to satisfy the pre-requisites ? I'll assume for now there is no package for the installed whois server.. :-) Andy

Hi, First of all: I'm not sure if this is the correct mailing list for questions regarding the Database REST API. If it isn't then I'm sorry, and I hope you might point me in the right direction. I am in need of API access to the RIPE database, both for querying and updating. I have been looking at the REST API documented at http://labs.ripe.net/ripe-database/database-api/api-documentation. I can connect, but I am unable to get a response from the lab.db.ripe.net server. No error or anything else. I'm accessing the server from the address 193.69.55.146. local RIPE database - question

Hello, My organisation is interested in RIPE database. It wants to know what are the main ISP of our customers who connect our website. First we would retrieve IP address of our Internet users then we would query your database to retrieve "netname" attribut ("inetnum" object). To do that we need to download "whois client software" (work on Linux system ?) and query your server : whois -h whois.ripe.net 134.157.0.0 But the number of our daily queries will be too high to query your server. So I think we should donwload your database on our local server. So we have to download "ripe.db.inetnum.gz " ? To query this local database we still need "whois client software" ?
