Colleagues, We wanted to share a brief update on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Yesterday, the European Parliament's Industry Committee formally endorsed the final text of the CRA following the political agreement reached in the Council in December 2023. The final vote will take place in plenary session on 11 March. Here is the latest version of the text: https://data.consilium.europa.eu/doc/document/ST-17000-2023-INIT/en/pdf We’ll continue monitoring this space, as the focus will be moving to the implementation phase, including discussions on secondary legislation meant to specify some key provisions of the CRA and the development of (voluntary) standards to support implementation and compliance. As a reminder, the RIPE NCC and RIPE Community have engaged with EU policymakers on several occasions, as you can read in our previous updates <https://labs.ripe.net/author/suzanne_taylor_muzzin/sanctions-cyber-resilience-and-other-hot-topics-our-eu-regulation-update-november-2023/>.
