RIPE Labs article on WSIS+20 Review and recent engagement
Dear colleagues I would like to share a recent RIPE Labs article reflecting on the WSIS+20 review and last year’s engagement in global digital cooperation: https://labs.ripe.net/author/desiree-miloshevic/how-global-digital-cooperati... The piece looks at how digital cooperation has moved into an implementation phase and touches on the various UN processes now shaping this space. As many of us experience, navigating the growing “acronym landscape” can still be a challenge, though the article aims to offer a clearer overview of how these processes connect. I hope you find it useful for our ongoing discussions within the Cooperation WG. Desiree --
Desiree that is a fine bit of drafting! What's the next priority for the tech community? It occurs that the "technical community" has to keep its nose to the window panes in UN and ITU to remain influential to ensure policy reflects actual reality. many thanks Christian Desiree Miloshevic <miloshevic@gmail.com> writes:

Hi Christian Thank you for your feedback and starting the conversation. Whilst you’ve ‘read the tea leaves’ yourself, a better position would be a seat at the table. It would be good to hear from members about what they see as their priorities. We could do a short survey, so that technical community (TC) could have its own 2030 or 2035 action plan drawn related to wsis and/or other activities. Or have a session or Bof in Edinburgh? Many priorities for the TC are already embedded in numerous contributions to the GDC like DPI and Digital Public Goods (part of Objective 1), information integrity (part of Objective 3), data governance (Objective 4) and AI (Objective 5) and other WSIS related submissions, from scaling up the connectivity to protection of open and interoperable Internet and inclusive participation in Internet governance. One more thing: as members of this WG know well, Internet coordination organisations and the Core needs to remain neutral; At the same time, community members can respond to security, local and regional regulatory consultations, which remains a priority to support evidence-based policy development.
