All, Next week is the RIPE Meeting and we have a meeting on Thursday. The agenda is updated over time so please have a look now and then. The over arching topic for "cooperation issues" is this time "global governance in a multistakeholder world" and specifically this is triggered by WCIT and the question of what a treaty really implies, and what such can (and can not) include and why. The discussions start on Tuesday where there will be I hope an interesting panel on the topic. See https://ripe65.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/plenary-agenda/
Tuesday, 25 September 16:00 – 17:30
Plenary
Internet Governance Update Panel Patrik Fältström, Cooperation Working Group Chair
Mike Blanche, Google Cathy Handley, ARIN Gordon Lennox, Former official of the European Commission Christine Runnegar, ISOC
The goal is that this will be a discussion panel. I will moderate, ask questions of course that triggers the discussion, but I also welcome either before or during the meeting suggestions. We will then on Thursday on the cooperation wg continue this with more discussions in the wg. This time the working group meeting will be part of what RIPE call "government roundtable meeting" where also the address policy wg is included. We hope this will attract more non-traditional RIPE delegates to the meeting itself. We do hope this will be interesting for us all, and we are looking forward to next week. Regards, Patrik & Maria Co-chairs Cooperation Working Group
