Indeed. But even then it is hard to choose. Both Des and Dick are excellent, well qualified candidates: equally good choices, albeit in different ways. I can’t pick between them. So I support both Dick and Des.
FWIW we had a similar dilemma in the IoT WG last year: two strong and equally matched candidates for one vacancy.

Yes. Though *please* remember this is RIPE takes decisions by consensus. We don’t vote. And you can express support for more than one candidate.
IMO it’s very likely someone will end up tossing a coin to make the selection.
