Dear colleagues,

As I’m sure many of you know - or were perhaps even in attendance - the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference wrapped up last Friday in Bucharest after an intensive three weeks of negotiations and elections.

In this RIPE Labs article, I go over some of the main proposals to the Internet Resolutions and the changes that made it through to the final texts, along with some high-level takeaways for the Internet community:

We at the RIPE NCC would also be very interested to hear your own thoughts on the conference, its outcomes and the implications for Internet governance going forward. Please leave a comment or feel free to share your own experiences here.

We’ll also present on the conference and its outcomes during the Cooperation Working Group session at RIPE 85 in Belgrade next week, and hope to see many of you there!

Best regards,

Suzanne
