RIPE 81 BoF on sustainable procurement

Dear all, I'd like to cordially invite you and your colleagues to a Birds of a Feather (BoF) session I am organising as part of RIPE81 on Monday, 26 October, from 14:00-15:00 (UTC+1). The session draws on a post <https://labs.ripe.net/Members/michael_oghia/you-ve-got-the-power-sustainabl…> I authored for RIPE Labs over the summer, and aims to highlight how the RIPE community can contribute to a more sustainable Internet via decisions regarding buying hardware and sourcing services (procurement). It intends to gather interest and feedback from the community on the topic, and based on that discussion and the feedback received, potentially form a working group to write a document with more practical guidelines for operators (similar to ripe-554 <https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-554> for IPv6). I'm also happy to announce that Peter Pawlicki, the Director of Outreach and Education at Electronics Watch, will join as well. In case you or any of your colleagues manage your organisation's procurement process, please do forward this to them. Call for (short) presentations at vRipe 81 - Connect Working Group

Dear friends of the Connect WG, We are a bit more than two weeks virtual RIPE 81, that will take place virtually from October 27th to 30th 2020. Our next Connect-WG session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th from 1pm to 1.45pm. We already have a quite packed agenda, and as you noticed we have shorter slot than last time, but we might be able to find some 5 min slots if there is a topic you would like to share during the session.
