Thank you, Gordon! Nice of you to forward this around. I have been lurking on the list, happy to get into these discussions if need be. I continue to do work related to IP interconnection. One issue that is emerging that I did not see in the charter, incidentally, has to do with Caller ID spoofing in a VoIP Scenario. There is growing interest, not only in the IETF but also with NRAs in the US, Canada, and the UK about possible relevance of RPKI-like mechanisms to verify "holdership" of the phone number in order to facilitate some kind of validation of the SIP INVITE. This is not exactly an interconnection issue, but it is linked both to the movement of telephony to IP interconnection, and to the approach taken to phone number portability.
