Dear Karim, You can report spam abuse here: https://spamcop.net and/or also here http://spamid.net There is no way to force anyone to listen to your complaints, if enough (different) people / persons / networks complain about the same ip/range then it may affect their reputation. It may also simply be that you are not filing complaints at the correct address/person/people For example: Someone field an abuse report about me, to myself today... but it was not our IP range, in fact the complainant could not read the email headers properly... - So, there are man ythings to be considered :) I hope this all helps you in some way Kind Regards Andre

There is no onus or responsibility for the provider to do anything though... (are you certain the traffic is from them?) I personally deal mostly with spam abuse at the moment myself and many of the networks simply do not care and I never hear anything/much in terms of feedback, of course the very ethical providers example: hetzner.de etc are very good with providing feedback & keeping clean network. I would assume that the DDOS & traffic abuse, etc would follow the same patterns. Maybe if you would give more information about your situation? (& detail, as etc) Kind Regards Andre

Karim, As Andre has implied, there is no RIPE policy regarding what a provider must do when an abuse complaint is received. This is something that has been talked about repeatedly over the years, but we have never come close to reaching consensus for all sorts of reasons. It will, doubtless, be something the community continues to discuss as time goes by. True although apparently in this case it is not an e-mail issue. :) Cheers, -- Shane

Providers that don’t ever respond to any abuse reports *should* suffer in terms of reputation etc., Whether they do or not depends on other network operators. -- Mr Michele Neylon Blacknight Solutions Hosting, Colocation & Domains http://www.blacknight.host/ http://blog.blacknight.com/ http://ceo.hosting/ Intl. +353 (0) 59 9183072 Direct Dial: +353 (0)59 9183090 ------------------------------- Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd, Unit 12A,Barrowside Business Park,Sleaty Road,Graiguecullen,Carlow,R93 X265,Ireland Company No.: 370845 On 06/05/2016, 13:45, "anti-abuse-wg on behalf of Brian Nisbet" <anti-abuse-wg-bounces@ripe.net on behalf of brian.nisbet@heanet.ie> wrote:
