Re: [anti-abuse-wg] 2011-06 New Policy Proposal (Abuse Contact Management in the RIPE NCC Database)
Hi Tobias, So the RIPE NCC explanation and proposal states that the intention is to add abuse-c object (thats it). In this form do you think it will going to add any value to over all abuse reporting, IMHO the accuracy of data will always remain the biggest issue no matter how many objects you add, same is the case with IRT. But as a first step, I support it. Regards, Aftab A. Siddiqui

Dear Tobias and others
The RIPE NCC Database Group has now published an article on RIPE Labs with a detailed explanation of how we propose to implement abuse handling with an "abuse-c:" attribute referencing a ROLE object.

Right.

Right, but it is a first step that gives us a much easier start to look at data accuracy. Because we have to talk about one type of object and can handle them all the same way and not have to talk about different ones.
But as a first step, I support it.
Thanks for that. For me this is also only a first step. I think the Task Force will be happy to extend the work on data accuracy and try to find ways to solve this as well. Of course only if community asks for it. Thanks a lot, Tobias -- abusix
