That being said, I still think a single canonical place to store abuse handling information is A Very Good Thing.

+1 Same for us, we are happy as every range gets one abuse email contact and we can query the whois server without limits to get this information. Still likes to add, that I love to have a downloadable file with two rows, one row for the range, one for the abuse email address which should be available to download for all RIPE members via ftp or http(s). APIs for RIPEs abuse-tool or similar things make abuse reporting unnecessary complicated and the load to RIPEs whois server could be dramatically reduced. There is no risk to produce such a list, because the abuse email addresses will be mandatory and published without limits anyway. Tobias: could you please add this to the next version of the proposal ? Kind regards, Frank -- PHADE Software - PowerWeb http://www.powerweb.de Inh. Dipl.-Inform.
