I've been trying to follow this discussion over the last few days and am still a bit confused. We use: "descr: Abuse Contact: abuse@blacknight.ie" And apart from the really dumb we don't have any issue getting abuse reports about our IP blocks .. The problem I'm seeing with this entire thing is: 1 - Lack of a clear definition of what exactly is being impacted in simple English 2 - How / why this is necessary Responsive network operators are responsive Unresponsive ones aren't going to change Mandating a particular contact isn't going to change that .. so I'm having issues understanding what exactly people are hoping to achieve On the privacy side of things - You should be careful which email address(es) you use when setting up / maintaining records. If you insist on using a "private' email address then you'll end up suffering anyway ... I still don't understand why people keep throwing in random comments about greylisting - I can't see what that has got to do with anything and as I already stated it's outside this group's remit to fix people's badly configured mail servers.
