This may sound odd, coming from me, but I say let him speak his mind until he feels that he has done so to the full. The proposal only came forth a mere few days ago, and there is no compelling reason to rush to judgement. Let everyone express themselves and their viewpoints until there is no more to be said that isn't unambiguously repetitive. You would hope for the same courtesy if and when you were esposing an unpopular or minority view. Regards, rfg
