Around the time of the election RIPE members posted about receiving unwanted email from candidates. I would like to more formally quantify this event. To start I have two questions:

1) Has anyone followed up with RIPE membership to assess how large of a mailing run was sent? Did all registered RIPE members sent email or only a portion?

2) Has anyone collected samples of the unwanted mail with or without headers to establish a corpus which can be analyzed?

If this feedback and corpus has not yet been compiled / established I am happy to help do so. Please send any details and examples you're willing to share. Thank you for your time and willingness to help quantify this event.
