The RIPE document is recommendations for spam. The abuse reported is apparently not spam (although I don't think that we don't know the exact details). Therefore the RIPE document is probably not helpful. Perhaps it would be worthwhile making a general best practice document with recommendations for handling abuse, but I don't think that such a RIPE document exists now. Cheers, -- Shane
