Danko has the exact mix of hands-on ISP experience and heavy-duty corporate governance the board needs right now. He spent over a decade building and running SezamPro, so he knows the operational realities of LIRs from the ground up. Crucially for a board role, Danko brings serious governance expertise. He holds an IEDC Bled Executive MBA, is an INSEAD certified corporate director, and has applied these skills at the highest levels. As Vice-Chair of the ICANN Board, he chaired the Finance Committee overseeing a 150M USD budget, and he previously served as Treasurer at CENTR. The RIPE NCC needs board members who understand both the technical infrastructure side and high-level financial and regulatory governance. Danko delivers on both fronts.
