Dear colleagues, The IETF has issued a last call for comments on the draft RFC "Special Use IPv4 Addresses", Best Current Practice document. The document is available at: http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-vegoda-cotton-rfc5735bis/ The Last Call period concludes on 9 August 2012. The IETF requests that substantive comments should be sent to <ietf@ietf.org> by this date. The abstract describing the proposed RFC is as follows: This document obsoletes RFC 5735 and updates RFC 6441. It describes the global and other specialized IPv4 address blocks that have been assigned by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). It does not address IPv4 address space assigned to operators and users through the Regional Internet Registries, nor does it address IPv4 address space assigned directly by IANA prior to the creation of the Regional Internet Registries. It also does not address allocations or assignments of IPv6 addresses or autonomous system numbers. We ask that you read the document and send any comments you might have to the appropriate channel within the Last Call period. Best regards, Axel Pawlik Managing Director RIPE NCC
